Title: PET Studies of Sentence Comprehension

Description: The goal of this project is to investigate the neural 
basis for syntactic processing in sentence comprehension by 
identifying areas of increased regional cerebral blood flow in 
subjects who process syntactically complex sentences. The effect of 
modality of sentence presentation, of task, and of specific 
syntactic structure, will be examined. The role of rehearsal in the 
syntactic comprehension process will also be explored.
