MGH Neuropsychology Lab

Welcome to

The Neuropsychology Lab

Massachusetts General Hospital

Welcome to the Neuropsychology Lab. This laboratory is a clinical and research facility. The research group studies language processing in normal subjects and in patients with central nervous system disease as well as the neurological basis for language processing. The scientific basis for this research is largely Linguistics and Psychology, which provide formal characterizations of language structure and detailed models of how normal subjects process language. The research uses computer-based neuroimage analysis techniques to localize lesions in patients with language deficits, and functional neuroimaging to identify areas of cerebral activation associated with language processing. This research is funded through several Public Health Service grants.
